Why Doesn't Tubepress Pro Update From Within Dashboard?

Why doesn't TubePress Pro update like other plugins, from within admin. Why do we have to download it and install it manually? All other plugins notify you in admin that they need updating, how are we to know there's an update if this doesn't happen?

The problem is that we need can't tell, from WordPress, who is a paid customer and who isn't. I understand that it's an inconvenience, but unfortunately (for the moment at least), this is unlikely to change.
