Ive installed the plugin but videos wont play when I click them. This is the case in Chrome, IE 8 and IE 9 using different PC's so its not just me. Funny thing is, although it doesnt look good(CSS) it plays fine on my android and ipad so I have no idea why it doesnt work on a PC.

Example:

I'm having the same problem. The first embedded video plays but clicking on the thumbnails does not load the new video. This is the same when using shadowbox. The box opens but the video doesn't play.

Eric,

Do you plan to release any information on this issue that a lot of people are having? I have emailed you and posted a topic on here, I see you reply to other topics but dont address this issue? Maybe I am wrong, but I couldnt find anything.

I really like the potential for this plugin but so far ive paid $25 for what exactly? I thought paying the $25 would allow me to get support but so far this is not the case.

Can you please outline if you acknowledge this issue and are trying to rectify it?

Thank you.

Hello,

Here's what's happening...

  • You're loading jQuery twice
  • The second load of jQuery is an outdated version, and it's clobbering the first
  • The outdated version of jQuery is 1.5.1, and TubePress requires 1.6+
The good news is that this should be quite easy to fix - we just need to get rid of that duplicated load. Here are the two instances in your HTML source:

<script type='text/javascript' src='http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.6.1.min.js?ver=3.2.1'></script>
<script type='text/javascript' src='http://mmazone.com.au/wp-content/themes/bigcity/recent-posts-slider/js/jquery.min.js?ver=3.2.1'></script>
The first one is the one we want to keep. Unfortunately it will be up to you to find out what's printing out that line, but my guess is that it's hard-coded into your theme? Anyway, getting rid of that second load should fix you up. Please give it a go and let me know.

Change your site URL from "wildrootsmedia.org" to "www.wildrootsmedia.org". You can do this from WP Admin > Settings > General. This is the same origin policy in action.

I'm having the same problem, Tubepress was working great then something got updated, either the plugin or another or both, and Tubepress stopped working. The thumbnails appear, but when I click one, I just get a black box with nothing in it. just a 500 error at http://www.ottawaton...t/...erHtml.php

I've deleted and reinstalled Tubepress to no avail, I don't see an old version of jQuery loading as I see is a problem for others... I tried changing the permissions on playerHtml.php just in case but that made no difference...

The page in question is http://www.ottawatonite.com/ if anyone has time to take a look. I spent quite a long time getting it working with the custom appearance, quite frustrating...

Thanks Eric! The site URL already had www.wildrootsmedia.org, but the WordPress URL didn't have the www. I added it there and bingo! It works!
