Can I use TubePress to embed a single video on a blog post? If so, what are the advantages of using TubePress for this purpose over using the WordPress [youtube] tag?

Eric, I forgot to mention I am working with tubepress express. How do i generate code with tubepress express to embed a single video on a WordPress post?

Hi Frank,

 

The short answer is that with TubePress Express, you can currently only generate galleries and not single video embeds. This is really a limitation of the admin GUI screen of TubePress Express. The good news is that we are in the middle of a major overhaul of the TubePress admin GUI, and once it's ready TubePress Express will have the ability to display galleries, single video embeds, interactive searching, and more. I don't have a firm ETA for this release but if I had to guess I'd say it will be out in a month or two.

 

In the meantime the only workaround is to stick with the usual YouTube <iframe> embeds.
