I have a couple of questions regarding Tubepress I am hoping you might answer.

 

1. Tubepress enables site owners to post videos via youtube user account favorites, specifying youtube user account/channel among others.

 

In the instance that you specific your youtube account favorites or another youtube channel(s) will your site update with newer videos when there are new items added on the youtube end? For example, if I specify my own youtube account's favorites as being followed by tubeprress and I add new videos to my youtube favorites will my tubepress site automatically show the new videos?

 

If so, how is this handled? Is there a chron function used to update locally, etc?

 

 

2. How is tubepress compatibility with other themes that specially cater to video galleries like Videozoom by WPZoom, etc?

Yes, Tubepress will update whenever new videos are added to whichever channel/user/favorites you are following using the TubePress shortcode.  However, due to YouTube's API, the updates may not be immediate and per youtube updates could take "up to 24 hours".

This is handled every time the page in question is loaded, as the API uses AJAX requests to pull down the newest videos from YouTube or Vimeo.

 

 

2. How is tubepress compatibility with other themes that specially cater to video galleries like Videozoom by WPZoom, etc?

 

Unfortunately, we can not answer how TubePress will work specifically with any theme, however TubePress is written to be cross-theme compatible and you should not have any issues.  You can always try the free version of TubePress to see how it works and formats within your theme, as well as you can create your own themes, as described here: http://tubepress.com...ustomize:Themes
