Shadowbox Not Working

Best Answer Paul Franz, 18 February 2013 - 03:41 PM

Eric,

Worked like a charm.

I did notice one thing, however. The shadowbox.css file that's packaged on that site messes with the styles on the popout player.  It frames the video improperly and puts scroll bars on the sides.  It was easily fixable but it's an annoying quirk.

On line 8 there's a CSS property that sets the overflow to auto.  Remove that and it's fixed.

Eric,

As you know I just upgraded to TP 3.0.0 Pro.

Now strangely enough, Shadowbox isn't working on Pro, when it was working on the Demo version.  I've for the time being defaulted to using Fancybox until I can resolve the issue.  Though I'd prefer using Shadowbox because I think it's better looking. :)

When Shadowbox is enabled, the links are still active, but they don't perform any action (videos don't pop up).

Any ideas?

-Paul

Hi Paul,

Typically this just means that you need to perform the one-time Shadowbox.js installation. It's not bundled with TubePress Pro due to licensing restrictions. That should fix it for you - let me know!

Thanks for that CSS tip, Paul. I'll add that to the documentation, and make it the default for free version of TubePress (where Shadowbox.js is bundled).

Where do we find the shadowbox documentation and instructions? All the links given in the support threads appear to be gone.

You can find Shadowbox.js installation instructions here for WordPress users, and here for standalone PHP users. On both pages, the Shadowbox docs are at the very bottom of the page.
