I just reloaded your site about 10 times and couldn't seem to reproduce the issue. Tried with both FF and Chrome on Linux. You say you've tested in Safari and Chrome - presumably you saw the issue in those browsers as well? And I assume that you're on a Mac? There's no JavaScript errors on page load, so I'm a bit stumped at the moment as to what could be causing it.
Have you tried doing your tests with Firebug open? Would be interesting to see if it finds any JS errors when you get the unclickable thumbs.

#2 and #3 are the problems. Is the page not loading all the way?

Is the page not loading all the way?
If you click on the thumbs before the page finishes loading, then it's a possibility that you'll hit weird errors like this. I just spent a good 10 minutes trying to reproduce the error with Safari, Chrome, and FF on my Mac and had no issues. Have you tried starting FF with a fresh profile? Could be an add-on that's interfering...
