I have rather high traffic site and users are complaining like mad. Java script error is

TubePress requires jQuery 1.6 or higer/ This page is running version 1.4.4

Error is visible (popups) in all browsers BUT Chrome. In Chrome some see it and some do not.

I simply uploaded new PRO version over the previous installation.

Hi,

Were you able to resolve this on your own? I visited your site and didn't see the popup. But it also appears that you're loading jQuery 1.4.4 (from http://maidan.org.ua...qu...?ver=1.4.4).

TubePress requires jQuery 1.6 or higher, so if you're still getting an error the solution is to simply upgrade to jQuery 1.6. It's backwards compatible with 1.4.4 and offers major performance improvements. Let me know if you need any assistance in upgrading and I'll be happy to help.

Thanks.

I am having the same problem.

The site is http://monarchhousing.org/

The error says I am using 1.2.6.

Can you help me upgrade and solve this problem?

I have no idea how to upgrade.

Update.

I updated the plugin to 2.2.9 and there is no problem after reactivating the plugin.

However, the videos do not play. I click on the icons and nothing happens.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Sorry one more update.

The videos work on IE 9 but not on Firefox or Safari.

Will check on pop up blockers.

I had to roll back to previous version due to complaints.

Sorry for lame question - how do I upgrade to jQuery 1.6 ???? I am using virgin WP core and plugins and theme - did not edit anything there and do not plan to.

Thanks NZ

Not sure if the message was for me or not.

Still having some some problems.

Can you confirm i my site is using the latest version?

http://monarchhousin...ubepress_page=2

If not how do I upgrade?

Plus, none of my video icons will play with the pop up player?

Thanks.

I also changed the site so that it would use the player in normal mode but am unable to switch it from one video to the next.

Any thoughts?

The very simplest way to upgrade your jQuery installation would be to simply upgrade your WordPress installation to the latest (3.2.1 as I write this). That will automatically upgrade your copy of http://maidan.org.ua...query/jquery.js from 1.4.4 to 1.6.1.

What do you think? Is there any reason you're not running the latest WP?

Not sure how I did but it works.

Would the pro version be of benefit to me?

Would it help make it run smoother?

TubePress Pro gives you a bunch of added features and priority support from the developer (me). Here's a comparison between the free and Pro versions. Not quite sure what you mean by "run smoother"... ?

Smoother i guess means fewer hiccups.

How difficult is it to switch to the pro?

Hi!,

Looks like you have a plugin called "wp-lightbox" that is loading its own (deprecated) copy of jQuery. Looking at your HTML source, I see

http://www.velozdh.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-lightbox/js/jquery.min.js?ver=1.5.2
This means that the develop of wp-lightbox was being naughty and not playing by the rules. One quick fix would be to simply replace the contents of wp-content/plugins/wp-lightbox/js/jquery.min.js with the latest copy of jQuery. It's 99.9% backwards compatible.

Let me know if that makes sense. Thanks!

I updated the plugin to the latest version, it uses the latest jQuery 1.6.4 and the problem still continues... It even continues if I deactivate the lightbox plugin completly and have the tubepress plugin activated. it only happens when tubepress is activated... must be something else...

Hi,

Did you disable TubePress entirely? Was hoping to take a look today but it seems that it's not loaded. Let me know if you're able to re-enable it. Thanks.
