I also tried with other display mechanisms (such as shadowbox and the default) and they worked fine; I've removed my competing fancybox instance, and my other galleries using fancybox work fine. Wondered why this might be? (Could I DM a URL, Eric?)

We have same problem. We use easy fancybox on our photo gallery and it conflicts with Tubepress fancybox and stops working in Firefox and Chrome.
Is there a workaround to get tubepress fancybox to work with fancybox being used on wordpress? We switched to tinybox but tinybox lacks a close button making it unintuitive.
