Clearing the cache is very easy. By default, you can simply add tubepress_clear_system_cache=trueto the end of the URL of your website. e.g.

4.1.8

Catchable fatal error: Argument 1 passed to tubepress_app_impl_theme_FilesystemTheme::setTemplateNamesToAbsPathsMap() must be of the type array, null given, called in /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/tubepress/src/add-ons/deprecated/classes/tubepress/deprecated/ioc/compiler/LegacyThemesPrimerPass.php on line 210 and defined in/home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/tubepress/src/platform/scripts/classloading/classes.php on line 4688

Please advise, thanks.

jspike, there is no need to install the free version first and then upgrade to the pro version, as it doesn't work that way.  You can completely remove the free version, then either FTP or via WordPress add the Pro plugin. All settings are saved in MySQL and will not be deleted when you delete TubePress Free.

As for the PHP errors, they are most likely caused by having an old version of PHP.  If possible, please update to PHP 5.5

Also, you are not getting skipped over in responses.  Our support is Monday - Friday, except US Holidays, which Friday was, hence my replies to you today.

Thanks!

I posted the version of PHP Im running in the title of this very post, please pay more attention. Just saying its an older version of PHP and skipping to the next post is not support....

As its also stated in the title, Im on GoDaddy's Cpanel-based hosting, an environment used by thousands if not millions of sites. Id give direct access but that plan is offered as a 'free' product when a domain is purchased etc. so Im sure you can find a test environment, run the exact version of PHP Im running, and let me know what to do next.

Thanks.

Fresh installed the pro version, here's the error now:

Catchable fatal error: Argument 1 passed to tubepress_app_impl_theme_FilesystemTheme::setTemplateNamesToAbsPathsMap() must be of the type array, null given, called in /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/tubepress_pro_4_1_8/src/add-ons/deprecated/classes/tubepress/deprecated/ioc/compiler/LegacyThemesPrimerPass.php on line 210 and defined in /home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/tubepress_pro_4_1_8/src/platform/scripts/classloading/classes.php on line 4688

jspike, apologies for missing the PHP version, I rarely look at the titles of posts.

These errors, and the reason for my previous reply, are normally caused by older versions of PHP.  Another cause is a corrupted installation.

How are you installing?  Through the WordPress dashboard - Add Plugin - Upload, or via FTP directly into the proper folder, and then activating?

I know you've already uninstalled/reinstalled, but could I ask you to please uninstall, re-download, re-install the plugin and see if that fixes the issue?

Thanks for your patience while we work to get this fixed for you!

I did a complete rip and re-install, removing all and any directories related to the plugin, especially tubepress-content directory. After that, there was activation. My guess is that the tubepress-content needs to be removed (not sure if a rename operation would work but probably)

The issue now is the remove black bar add-on is not working, any ideas?

I am having a very similar error, I've tried uninstalling / reinstalling many times and clearing cache and still can't activate the plugin.

We are using Rackspace cloud sites hosting, here is the error:

Catchable fatal error: Argument 1 passed to tubepress_app_impl_theme_FilesystemTheme::setTemplateNamesToAbsPathsMap() must be an array, null given, called in /mnt/stor0-wc2-dfw1/468595/808745/www.mnfirehire.com/web/content/wp-content/plugins/tubepress_pro_4_1_8/src/add-ons/deprecated/classes/tubepress/deprecated/ioc/compiler/LegacyThemesPrimerPass.php on line 210 and defined in /mnt/stor0-wc2-dfw1/468595/808745/www.mnfirehire.com/web/content/wp-content/plugins/tubepress_pro_4_1_8/src/platform/scripts/classloading/classes.php on line 4688

arcstone, please create a new thread or open a support ticket around this issue and include the PHP version you have.

Thanks!
