Pro 4.1.5: Youtube Greying Out On Thumbnails

Best Answer eric, 27 April 2015 - 04:22 PM

It's working with 4.1.6.

I wouldn't have known it at first, as graying out seems to be what the main view does while it's loading (instead of saying "loading" or something similar). Is that the intended functionality?

Thanks for fixing

Glad to hear that it's working! The "greying" is indeed the expected behavior - you can see it at http://tubepress.com/demo/. Usually it should only be visible for a few hundred milliseconds as TubePress fetches the video.

Please let us know how else we may assist.

The initial video plays properly, but when I click a thumbnail the main video viewer grays out.

We then reached the "Quota exceeded" message, and renewed our API key.

I've tried deactivating jetpack to no avail (so have re-activated it)

I'm running pro 4.1.5 on WP 4.1.2, and the page is here: www.stlegacygroup.com/our-work/legacy-videos/

We're trying to be up and running for a conference tomorrow so all help is fantastically appreciated!

Would you please completely uninstall and then reinstall TubePress?

Your site returns a 404 not found error for the required AJAX file to load the video.

Thanks!

Thanks for the help!

I've deactivated / deleted, then reinstalled / activated.

Same issue.

Any other add ons or things I should be installing?

I've followed the instructions here for JW Player and Shadowbox.js

http://docs.tubepres...al-pro-installs

Still no luck. Our conference started this morning, and we're having to just use youtube instead of our website. Timely help is very much appreciated.

Any further advice on how to get the AJAX file loaded, based on the current progress (full reinstall, JW player, Shadowbox, etc.)

Our conference is over tomorrow. I'm disappointed at the lack of any help aside from essentially "try rebooting it" (which we did), particularly after the enforced switch to pro we had this past week to ensure functionality that we had previously had and which was removed without any notice, even in the changelog for the upgrade. We needed things to work for this major event.

We would happily have paid for troubleshooting, but relied on the forums as this is supposed to be the fastest way to get a response. I'm looking forward to being pleasantly surprised, but this week has certainly not so far been a boost to our previously extremely good feelings about Tubepress.

TubePress 4.1.6 was just released and includes a fix for this HTTP 404 bug. Please give it a try and let us know if you continue to experience any issues.
