Two of my video websites are returning the "no matching videos" reply.

 

Two other sites I have are running fine so far. Cannot rectify situation. All plugins and WP updated to recent version but no change. No modifications occurred to cause this.

Both not working now.

Hello Bill,

 

Your UFOSightingsVideos.com website is not returning any videos because wordpress is changing your shortcode around, so TubePress see's this:

 

[tubepress mode=’tag’, tagValue=’ufo sightings 2014′]

 

instead of this:

 

[tubepress mode="tag" tagValue="ufo sightings 2014"]

 

Please ensure you are using the TubePress text editor, instead of the visual editor.

Also, please ensure you are using the newest (4.0.7) version of TubePress.

 

For the second link, please use double quotes around the items after the = symbol, also please remove the comma.

Thanks very much Brandon. I suppose this is an update error with Wordpress? Funny it did not affect my other websites.

This is an issue with all version os WordPress 3.x+, when you use the visual editor instead of the text editor.

I have the same problem. If to add just [tubepress], the gallery from setting comes out no problem. But if to add [tubepress mode="playlist" playlistValue="kUJjZcMlrHXrHBCmNT-XAWxlzucqXlZ9"] or any other playlist, I get "no matching videos". I use wordpress 4.1.1 and the latest tubepress. Any ideas how to fix it?

Oksana,

 

Wordpress is putting a bunch of random characters into your shortcode.  Are you using the visual or text editor to put the shortcode into your page?  If the visual, can you try the text editor, please?

I already have a habit to use only html page because Wordpress tends to mess us codes in different occasions. But to make sure, I went to that page and using text editor saved it. But the mistake is still there((((

And just to verify, you are using TubePress 4.0.8 or 4.0.9?

I installed new version. Well, it does work, but allows you only 3 thumbnails. is it something that will be changed in the future? Like it was (or supposed to work) In 3.1.6. Cause otherwise I will have to look for a different plagin((((

Tubepress Free is a trial version, limited to only three videos.  You will need to purchase TubePress Pro in order to display all of your videos.
