This is a problem that has only just started to suddenly happen.
Please check out the screencast I've made to describe this.

Temporary solution: Change preferred player implementation to JW flv
My guess might still be on mark. Youtube may have changed some backend variable handling. The old autoplay methods may be obsolete.

I have the same problem! I get a lot of site visitors and I need this fixed ASAP so I can keep my site clean.
People will find this "annoying", and they will leave RIGHT AWAY! It will also cause slow page load!
When will this be fixed?

The iframe player seems to have the new options after the video is done playing. Like replay, next video, link, and embed. This also changed the size of the video inside of the player embed. You have to change your embedded player size to adjust for this. It seems like all this new YouTube code has effected the embedded player.

Someone from the YouTube API team has posted about this issue here:

https://groups.googl...ic...uc6vhqF_nA

"Hello,

Thanks for reporting this behavior; and apologies for the unexpected
change. The Players engineering team is aware of the issue, but given
our push schedule it is possible it might be a week before the
behavior changes back in production. If this is affecting you now, I'd
recommend leaving out autoplay=0 entirely and relying on the default
behavior, as Claude mentions. If that doesn't stop the autoplay
behavior, please let us know in this thread.

Cheers,
-Jeff Posnick, YouTube API Team"

***This issue has been fixed!***

"Hello,

I wanted to let folks know that the Players engineering team was able
to push out an immediate fix to this issue, and setting autoplay=0
should no longer result in the video autoplaying. Apologies again for
any inconvenience this temporary issue caused.

Cheers,
-Jeff Posnick, YouTube API Team "
