I'm using : youtubeClosedCaptions="true"

to show CC by default, but I'm running a multi-language site and would like to be able to pass the language I want to appear when displaying the videos.

Is it possible to specify a default language for CC?

Thanks!

Olivier

Hi oasselin,

I have asked our lead developer about if this is possible, and if so how.

Thank you for your patience

It's definitely possible. I've done it on another website I manage where I don't need to have video galleries.

It's done using the following parameter :

hl=XX where XX is the language code.

See this URL for a working example I've just set up : http://www.permacult...om/it/the-farm/

Now the question is whether there would be a way for you guys to implement it easily.

Hello,

Unfortunately at this time YouTube doesn't give us that capability, but as soon as YouTube lets us, we will implement an option for this.

You can see what capabilities YouTube provides us here: https://developers.g...e_api_reference

Thanks!
