Brandon, you are a champ!  Yes, it looks like I will have to set all my parameters using short codes, but it's working.

I'm currently messing with a lot of them (found here: http://tubepress.com...nfig:AllOptions ) to get the look etc I want, but this seems to have cracked the code on my problem.  Thank you!

Installed and set up TubePress.  No matter what I do in the settings, TubePress displays on 3 thumbnails, and in a straight column.  No playback window.

Any thoughts as to why this might be?

ETA: This widget looks awesome and is exactly what I need.  I reaaaalllyy hope I can get it to work.

Hi MadMike,

Sorry you're having problems with your TubePress install.

When I look at the debug output, here is what I see:

What this shows is that you have the following settings set for your TubePress:

Results Per Page = 3

Theme = Sidebar

Player Location = Popup

With this setting, you will not see the pagination (page numbers) because you are using the Sidebar theme.  You will also only display 3 videos per your setting.  Also, you are not seeing any video player at the top of the page because of your theme.

To resolve this, there are two different things you can do:  One is easy, the other a little more involved.

1)  (Easy way) You can remove TubePress from your WordPress installation completely and then reinstall and re-start configuration from default.

2) (More involved)  Go through your TubePress settings tabs and make the changes within the settings (saving each tab) and set it up the way you want it to work.

Let us know if you have any other questions/problems.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply Brandon, but this did not solve my problem.

First off, I did have the settings correct in my TubePress settings tabs.  Thumbs per page was/is set at 20, Theme was set at default, and player location at 'normally, top of gallery'.

I verified the settings, still same problem.

I deleted and re-installed TubePress...still same problem.

Any thoughts?  I am saving each time I change any settings.  If I change the feed source, the changes appear when I refresh.  But if I change the other settings (theme, # of thumbs, location) the results are always the same.  Even if I change the number of thumbnails to display to 1, it still shows 3 thumbnails.

I would guess something is overriding the settings to the sidebar/3 results/popup parameters because it is simply ignoring any changes I make.

One other note, when I delete the plugin, and re-install it, it does not have the defaults...it still retains the search/feed data from my previous install.  Wordpress' admin panel shows it is deleting, but somehow it is retaining the previous installation's TubePress settings.  Puzzled.

mike,

Could you please try inserting your MAIN tubepress (on the main portion of the page) using shortcode options.

So, for the default settings, you would use the follow (please replace the parts necessary for your page)

[tubepress playerLocation="normal" mode="playlist" playlistValue="6813408AE8D50E6F"]

Please give that a try and see if it resolves your issue (which it should)

Thanks!
