Pro Install On Wordpress - Can't Get It To Work

Best Answer Corwyn Friesen, 14 April 2013 - 04:20 PM

Eric sorted things out for me...

The simple solution in this scenario was to move the TubePress installation to the plugins folder of WordPress and call the script from that location.

I have TubePress Pro (3_0_1) installed on a website in development.

The website is built on wordpress, but I have installed TubePress outside of the WordPress installation. When viewing a page outside of the WordPress install and using TubePress, I have no problem getting things working. The problem lies when trying to display a TubePress gallery on a WordPress page. It appears that there is some kind of JS conflict as the page loads the gallery, you just can't get the videos to play (I'm using playerLocation="fancybox"). I have checked and rechecked my paths to make sure that they are correct, with no luck in finding the solution.

If if helps, I have no plugins installed and I am not calling any other jQuery scripts.

For testing purposes, I also tried installing the Pro version as a WordPress plugin. After installing and using the shortcode for a Wordpress page, the same scenario happened...the gallery showed, but could not open the videos.

I will gladly PM a staff member some links to see my scenario.

Any direction would be appreciated...thanks!

Hello Corwyn,

Would you please send me a link to your development scenarios so I may take a look at them.

Also, please ensure that TubePress Debugging mode is enabled so I can look at the debug output.

Thanks!
