Hi, I'm very confused about playing the YT videos in tubepress plugins. I know that the size of player is the same as in YT - for example 853x480 px but when I click on the player on my site, the player has black borders from left and right side. Any solutions for that or is just standard for free plugin.

Hi radek,

In order to eliminate the black borders on your site, you need to reduce the width of the player.  You can use the "embeddedWidth" option
(http://tubepress.com...e#embeddedWidth) or simply change the width from WP Admin > Settings > TubePress > Player.

Let us know if that solves your issue.

Thanks!

Hi Brandon,

Yes of course that help but we have then not standarded proportion of the movie. For example on YT we have 480p which is 853 width x 480 height and if we do such a proportion on the tube player we have black bordes on the width. The solution is to play with height or width in the Admin panel of tube plugin till we eliminate the borders. But in this option we cut or height or width of the movie. On my site I have player size 830x500 and I don't see the black borders but I know that the usual proportion of the movie should be 830x467 so somewhere we cut 33 px. What do you think about this?

Somebody has the same problem or just me?

I think it's just a matter of setting the height and width so it matches the aspect ratio of the original video. As an example, here's what the video looks like when TubePress is configured for 854x510: http://i.imgur.com/OHp22vV.jpg. As you can see, this eliminates the black bars.

I used this shortcode:

[tubepress userValue="SFTTTF" embeddedWidth="854" embeddedHeight="510"]

Hi Eric,

as you can see in your link http://i.imgur.com/OHp22vV.jpg. the player on the right edge is cut off so for sure this proportion are wrong. I use 830x500px and I'm quite happy. But I know that this proportion are not like they should be. If You have 854 px width, height should be 481 px  thats the rules of scaling HD video.

Your shortcode

[tubepress userValue="SFTTTF" embeddedWidth="854" embeddedHeight="510"] make lot of mess in my settings of tubepress ;)

I change settings in plugin options and I change the shortcode on the site  and nothing is changing, I still see the setings from Yours shorcode, even the font :)

How can I delete this?
