Hello,
I'm new to Tubepress, but so far it looks like a great product.
I just finished installing Tubepress on a WordPress website and it works great, except for one thing - when I click on a thumbnail to load a different video, the screen flashes/repaints. I'm assuming this is happening because the page is reloading. I've noticed that the same thing happens on the tubepress.org website with the Demos.
Is there something I can do to prevent this?
I read a post on another forum that talked about using the "YouTube Player API" to prevent page reloads. Does Tubepress use the "YouTube Player API"?
Any insights are greatly appreciated!
The "problem" page is at [http]

How to prevent screen flash/page reload on thumbnail click?

Hi David,
Are you referring to the embedded Flash player being swapped out to load the new video? If so, that's something that unfortunately isn't likely to change as there's no way to gracefully fade out/in (for instance) the change in video. You'll notice the same behavior if you click on video thumbnails at youtube.com.
Let me know if that answers your question. Thanks.

Hi Eric,
Thanks for your reply.
Yesterday, I discovered that the "flash" is much less prominent when you have a higher speed internet connection. I have basic high-speed internet on my home computer (the one where I see the video part of the screen repaint). My girlfriend has a higher-speed connection and on her computer all you see is what you are referring to, which is totally fine and acceptable.
The part that's annoying on my computer is that you see the horizontal list of thumbnails flash for a split second at the top of the video window, then the main/large window appears with the thumbnails repositioned correctly underneath.
Has anyone else observed this?
Thanks for your reply.
