Hi,

Thank you for being a truck rebel by helping to test out TubePress 3.0.0! ;)

After some experimentation, I've confirmed that this is a bug and will work on a fix right now. I'll also be releasing TubePress 3.0.0.RC2 later today (assuming no unforeseen obstacles), and I'll make sure this fix is included.

Stand by for updates. Thanks again!

OK, TubePress 3.0.0.RC2 has just been released. This includes a few fixes that will address the "strange" looking video embeds that you're experiencing.

I would recommend that you adjust your player settings from WP Admin > Settings > TubePress > Player. In particular, I would set "Show or hide video controls" to the value "Show controls - load Flash player immediately". This is equivalent to youtubeShowPlayerControls="showImmediate". You might also want to adjust the setting for "Fade progress bar and video controls". Between the two of those, you should be able to restore and/or improve the appearance and behavior of the YouTube embeds.

Give it a try and let us know? Thanks again for helping us test!

Hi,

I'm sorry that you're feeling frustrated! The good news is that "unclickable" thumbs are usually easy to diagnose and fix remotely.

So that I can assist you, please first create a new WordPress page with the following shortcode:

[tubepress playerLocation="normal"]
That will configure TubePress to use the "normal" player location which should exhibit the error. Then please send along the link to this page and I'll take a first-hand look. Does that sound OK? Thanks again.

Hmm the page you sent seems to operating correctly, at least from my perspective, and your theme looks fine. Could you tell me what it should be doing that it's not?

The good news is that your site isn't producing any JavaScript errors or anything like that, so we should be able to configure TubePress to your liking.

And I was just going to suggest that as the problem. Very glad that you got things worked out!

Thanks for your patience and for your willingness to help us test 3.0.0. Please let me know what else I can do for you.

Thanks
