I'm having this same issue. Just cropped up today. As a note, the demo playlist doesn't show up on http://tubepress.com...outube_playlist either.

We had the same problem on our site http://video.humanesociety.org, starting suddenly today.
We use the standalone PHP TubePress Pro.
I had to go in and comment out the YouTubePlaylistPlPrefixRemover filter, and then manually add "PL" to the beginning of our playlist IDs in order to get it working again. That filter is located in /sys/classes/org/tubepress/impl/bootstrap/TubePressBootstrapper.class.php.

Thank you floftus!! This worked for me! Just comment out lines 145 - 146 in TubePressBootstrapper.class.php found in the directory /wp-content/plugins/tubepress/sys/classes/org/tubepress/impl/bootstrap

Thanks again!

Please see this post for an explanation and workaround (which is identical to the one outlined here!). Thanks.
