Hi all.
I received the api keys and pasted them where they belonged in the TubePress WordPress plugin, in the vimeo key section.
There are no problems finding youTube videos, but I have never gotten Vimeo videos to be found.
And I've put in at least 6 hours trying to make this work, trying this and trying that... looking at forums, etc...
I've uninstalled and re-installed Tubepress.
I am saving my changes when I attempt different things.
I have tried new WordPress pages and it is consistent: youtube videos our found and vimeo videos are not (with the message of "No videos to populate the gallery").
Thanks very much in advance to anyone who might be able to help!
Regards,
Marty Shepard

Hi Marty,

Please send along a link to your gallery and make sure debugging is enabled from WP Admin > Settings > TubePress > Advanced. Thanks.

Thanks for taking a peek, Eric.

At present, tubepress is set up to look at youTube videos.
What I'd like to be able to do is look for Vimeos by The Big Mess
which is our user name in Vimeo.

Let me know if you'd like me to change the tubepress settings over to Vimeo.

Regards,
Marty

You can simply use the following shortcode to get your Vimeo videos

[tubepress mode="vimeoCreditedTo" vimeoCreditedToValue="user5379430"]
This of course assumes that "user5379430" is the Vimeo user you're after. You can also set these options from WP Admin > Settings > TubePress > Which Videos?. Make sense?

First of all, Eric, thanks for looking into this. I appreciate it a lot.

I pasted the following into a new test page:
[tubepress mode="vimeoCreditedTo" vimeoCreditedToValue="The Big Mess"]

Here's a link to that test page:
http://www.big-mess....di...test-page/

The gallery shows up as: No videos to populate this TubePress gallery.

If you go to Vimeo and search for the user: The Big Mess
our video is found.

I sure do not like being such a pain in the butt!
Regards,
Marty

Same problem here. I'm a Pro user and one day I noticed that my videos were not being found: http://catavino.net/catavino-videos/

Not really sure what's happening, no new plugins installed, and not much happening. I have an API key for Vimeo. Tried deactivating and reactivating...

Help! :)

The error message coming from Vimeo is "The oauth_signature passed was not valid". I would double/triple check that your Vimeo API key and secret are valid. Also make sure that you paste the key into the "key" input and likewise with the secret.

Also, if you're a TubePress Pro user I noticed that you're not running TubePress Pro on that page (just the free version). Just wondering, and wanted to make sure you know. Thanks.

I'm really confused about the Pro thing. I bought the license and it worked for awhile, and now it's not. No clue what happened. How do I reinstall pro? or activate it?

As to the API key I did paste it in...will register for a new one, since I can't seem to find the old one.

Still not sure why pro is not showing

Sorry for the confusion. TubePress Pro doesn't go through the normal WordPress update mechanism as it's non-public (but still open) source code. The official upgrade docs can be found here: http://tubepress.com...pg...epress_pro.

I'm brainstorming on how to make the upgrade process more clear for Pro users. Sorry about that, and let me know how else I can help. Thanks.

Hi Eric,

I too is having the same issue with flugelboy. I configured everything the way you instructed and still the vimeo videos are not showing up. It shows "No videos to populate this TubePress gallery. "

I was thinking it might be due to other plugins or issues with WP themes so I used it in a fresh installed WP and still the videos not showing up.

Please help. Thank you!

So how do we get the upgraded pro version? I have paid for the old one, is the new upgrade free? Also since I upgraded like I do with all my pro and non pro versions in the Plugin panel, I have now lost all formatting I did to get the site to look right. There should at least be a warning that pops up saying "if you are pro do not upgrade" or something similar

Anyways, what is the process to download the new version?

There are step-by-step instructions here: http://tubepress.com...pg...epress_pro. Let me know if any step isn't clear and I'll be happy to help.

As for the upgrade warning, I've filed a ticket for it here: http://code.google.c...s/detail?id=252. Please star it if you'd like to vote for the issue and follow updates. Thanks.

I got it to work! I hadn't seen the update on the front page about the API hardwiring.
