This will just take a CSS tweak. You basically have two options (in order of preference)

  • Create a custom theme. You'll just need to add style.css to your theme's directory with the following contents:
    .tubepress_thumb {
        height:275px;
    }
    This is the preferred method as it will be "upgrade proof" with future versions of TubePress.
  • Edit tubepress_pro_2_1_1/ui/themes/default/style.css and change the height of the class "tubepress_thumb" from 175px to 275px. This is easier perhaps, but isn't upgrade proof.
Let me know if you need help with either solution.

This works well for my own playlists as here:
[tubepress mode="playlist" playlistValue="B87AD687ACE7A5C8"]
http://forpropertyin...log/the-secret/

Then I'm loosing the title, views, author etc below the thumbs for pulling in someone else's channels uploaded videos as here:
[tubepress mode="user" userValue="DominickDiy"]
http://forpropertyin.../blog/dominick/

Three days and i still haven't heard from the host on the Ajax Pagination!

Hi,

TubePress Pro doesn't use the normal WordPress update mechanism (as it's non-public source code). I noticed that on your site you've reverted back to the free version of TubePress, most likely due to an automatic upgrade inside WordPress.

You can log in to tubepress.org to grab the latest version of TubePress Pro then follow the upgrade instructions found here: http://tubepress.com...pg...epress_pro

Let's get you back to using Pro and then we'll tackle the rest of the issues one by one. Sound good?

It's back! We're up to here and also any way it can change to manual changing of pages instead of ajax pagination just for a quick fix, i don't mind if the page has to reload. My host is bad at responding.

What happened to your posts from earlier i wanted to reference putting random videos in. If you use a random video for favorites it only pulls the last top 20 favorites in and can only shuffle the top twenty videos. Maybe if i use a playlist which there is one which has most the favorites in it it will pull 20 random videos in from 200 perhaps??

At the moment if i pull 20 favorites in it's going to pull the same twenty from the top in all the time. Really want to pull twenty different ones in out of 400 in the fav's or whatever each time!

Doh, i noticed a tickbox for ajax pagination to switch it off so that will do for now least be able to tell people about the new beautiful layout before Christmas.

Do you know of any code that will bring in 20 or so random videos from a playlist or favorites out of a total of up to 200 or more and be a different lot of videos each time?

The "random" sort order works on a per-page basis. This is a limitation on YouTube/Vimeo's side. There's a bit more explanation here: http://tubepress.com...al...shortcodes. So in other words, there's not currently a way to get what you're looking for.

There is a feature request filed with YouTube for this: http://code.google.c.../i...ail?id=964. I'd say star the issue to vote for it, but YouTube seems to ignore votes.

OK, I've got a work around. Just made a manually selected lot of videos in a playlist from all my playlists. And i will live with the ajax pagination switch off for now.

Heard back from my host and relaying the following message if it's of any interest to anyone:

I did see an error when I clicked on the number 2 directly. This is coding related and not anything I can alter in PHP.

Also I found this: http://amshameer.wor...5/...cess-file/

Well.. I'm satisfied that i have all my YouTube channel categories and displaying beautifully in your plugin that i can leave in run without any more tweaking. I've just put in place over 1000 videos so this is one powerful mother of a program. It may have taken a while to get through this thread but something big just happened!

I want to thank you it's truly an appreciated addition to my users and my site and i thank you for sticking by me as a VERY tentative and helpful guide installing.

I shall be off over to proudly post my link in the web sites section.
