Hi,

Could you post a link to your site that demonstrates the issue? We should be able to get you squared away quickly, but it's difficult to say exactly what's going on without a first-hand look. Thanks!

I apologize for the delay in responding. I spent some time investigating your situation and it seems that you've found a bug/limitation of TubePress.

Based on what I can gather, it looks like you would like the following to happen:

  • A user searches for something
  • User gets a list of videos and clicks a thumbnail
  • Page is refreshed (using TubePress's "solo" player location) and video player is in place of thumbnails
Is that right? If so, this is something that TubePress simply doesn't know to handle (yet). The workaround would be to switch to a different player, e.g.

[tubepress output="searchResults" searchProvider="youtube" searchResultsOnly="true" playerLocation="jqmodal"]
That will at least let the videos play. What do you think? I'm happy to put in a feature request, but I want to make sure I understand your requirements first. Thank you!

Yes it's true.
"A user searches for something
User gets a list of videos and clicks a thumbnail
Page is refreshed (using TubePress's "solo" player location) and video player is in place of thumbnails"

I just tried with static player, it's ok, but I want solo player

I hope you put it in the feature request,

thanks

Thanks for clarifying that for me. I'll file a feature request tonight so that it doesn't slip through the cracks!

Hi Eric

I'm in the same boat here. Has this issue been solved?

Thanks for all your efforts.

Best,
Cam
