Hey Eric,

THE QUESTION
Any thoughts on how I might use a query string to select a specified video within a tubepress pro gallery?

THE WHY
I have a client that's using the tubepress pro plugin to feature a director's reel w/ videos pulled from Vimeo. There's currently 12 videos in the gallery. The client's currently using PDF leave-behinds after pitching new clients for work. They have placed links within the PDF that currently point to the videos on Vimeo. However, they have expressed interest in the links pointing to their director's reel on their site for branding consistency. So, they would like the ability to pass a variable in the URL that would select a specified clip, for instance, video #4 from the gallery to be loaded and ready to play.

THE DETAILS
The site's built using Wordpress 3.0.1 and uses the following custom permalink structure: /%category%/%postname%/

Thanks for any help you might offer and thanks big time for the iPhone/iPad fix. You've made both my client and myself very happy.
Mike

Hi Mike,

Assuming that your client is using the "normal" playerLocation in TubePress, this should be possible right now. Check out the description for playerLocation=normal at http://tubepress.com...layer_locations.

So for instance your client could leave behind links that look something like http://site.com/cate...ubepress_video=

I think this would work for you, yeah? Let me know. Thanks.

Yep, that works... can't believe I missed that in the documentation, tired eyes, I guess. Thank you.

Have a great weekend.
