It must have been a plugin conflict - Good tip - When installing other plugins, make sure you check your site, then go and install another one that way you will know what broke it =)

It seems to conflit with Shareaholic | share buttons, analytics, related content - How can I get them to work together ?

This issue is most likely caused by multiple calls to jquery.
Without looking at your site and troubleshooting the issue when it is occurring it is more difficult, but this is the most common issue when another plugin breaks TubePress.
