Thanks for the reply, Brandon. That really bites, though! I've starred the topic. For now I think I'll just use a different plugin. Hopefully you guys can get this issue resolved! :(

Brandon

The is NOT a YTube  issue, it is a TPRess one.

I have shown you my site.  It has YT VIDEOS IN TPRESS THAT FAIL in IE8, and on the same page, VIDEOS OUTSIDE TPRESS THAT WORK PERFECTLY in IE8.

Unless you can explain why they FAIL IN TPRESS, but WORK OUTIDE TPRESS, please quit blaming YouTube.

I'm also having this issue, but it is NOT a Youtube problem, it's definitely Tubepress. My videos are only on Vimeo.

ms. mercury,

Is your issue related directly to Internet Explorer 8 only, meaning that it functions in all other browsers without an issue?

Thanks!

Yes, Tubepress works in Chrome & Firefox, but not in IE8. This is a major issue since the "official" supported browser of my employer is IE8. If this isn't resolved I'll need to find a different plugin, which is a shame because otherwise Tubepress seems to be a good solution for what I need except for this one giant issue. :(

Also was planning to go Pro, but not until I'm sure it works cross platform. As much as I dislike IE, I'm forced to support it.

Support -

Can you provide an update on the status of the IE7 - IE8 Thumbnail bug?  According to this bug report, it says it is resolved https://code.google..../detail?id=4422 but I can't get it to work in IE7 or IE8 no matter what I do.

Tubepress works perfectly in all other browsers (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Safari) as well as all mobile browsers (e.g. Android, Chrome, Dolphin, Opera and Safari).  It also works great in IE9 and IE10.

Unfortunately, too many users still default to IE7 or IE8 or even worse IE6 in some cases.  Can you please let me know if this has been fixed or what anyone has figured out for a workaround?

Thanks again for a great plugin.

jcarrier

This issue, as far as we can tell, has been resolved by YouTube. If you are still experiencing trouble with IE8, please open a new thread and we will be glad to take a look. Thanks!
