Eric,

Any chance of adding the option to use the new YouTube IFRAME embed rather than the current OBJECT embed.

http://apiblog.youtu...w-...ideos.html

I'd like to work with YT3D (YouTube 3D) galleries, which only work with the IFRAME code style.

I suspect that the relevant code is in: tubepress\ui\themes\default\embedded_flash\youtube.tpl.php, but it looks like the URL is formatted elsewhere.

Anyway... if you think it's worthy, maybe it will wind up on your list for some future version. If you feel like steering me a little bit, perhaps I can hack it up myself (and hand it back to you.)

Thanks,

Tony

I saw that you filed issue 265. Thanks.

Coincidentally, I'm reworking the embedded player portions of TubePress right now. My primary goal is to make it easier to (programatically) add embedded player options, and the YouTube iframe player is my guinea pig. The code is not in production state yet, and will likely not be particularly easy to hack into TubePress 2.1.2 as there were some significant architectural changes that went along with this. But the good news, I suppose, is that the feature is well on its way to being implemented and will definitely be included in the next release of TubePress.

I don't know too much about YT3D - interesting. I'm mostly interested in using the iframe to allow for easier video playback on mobile devices.

I spend a lot of my "real-job" time doing 3D, hence the interest.

Anyway... I took the IFRAME discussion to the tracker... see my first code attempt there ;-)

Some side work re: 3D....
