Hi Eric,

My site started to work without any additional action on my side. Maybe this was a caching issue. Anyways we can regard the issue as closed.

Thanks for the help.

Hello,

I'm running TubePress Pro version 2.4.1

I just upgraded Wordpress from version 3.3.1 to 3.5.1. After the upgrade the videos in my gallery won't play.

You can see one of my gallery's at http://www.tedhoffman.ca/for-fun/

Any ideas on what I need to do to get TubePress working again?

Thanks

Hi,

You'll need to upgrade your TubePress Pro installation to at least version 2.4.4 - though we always recommend just installing the latest version (at the time of this writing, that's 3.0.0). Version 2.4.4 has a fix for the particular bug from which you're experiencing.

Alternatively, you could manually apply the fix to your TubePress Pro 2.4.1 installation. Here is the commit - as you can see it's a one-line edit.

Hope that helps?

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the fast reply. I think I will purchase the upgrade rather than applying the fix to my current version.

I just want to verify that it is not necessary to sign up for automatic renewals and that the existing code is still mine to run after the 1 year period.

Thanks

You can cancel the renewals immediately after purchase, if you'd like to. You'll get priority support and upgrades for the full year, and can keep and run the code for life.

Let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

Hi Eric,

I purchased and installed version 3 as you suggested, but I'm still not operational.

For installation I did the following:
1) Downloaded version 3 of TubePress Pro and unzipped the contents which are now in the www/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/tubepress_pro_3_0_0 directory.
2) Downloaded shadowbox (version 3.0.3) and installed the contents of the shadowbox directory into tubepress_pro_3_0_0/sys/ui/static/players/shadowbox/lib/
3) Deactivated the old version of TubePress  Pro and activated TubePress Pro 3 in Wordpress (I'm not sure that the activation ended cleanly because I got a blank white screen instead of returning to WordPress - I retried deactivating/activating several times with the same result - TubePress does show as activated in WordPress plugins screen)

I did not do anything with respect to keys and secrets as I didn't see anywhere to do this for WordPress users in the WP Admin/Settings/Tubepress/Feed area.

Can you please advise what I should be doing to get this to work?

Thanks

I'm sorry that you're still having trouble! Let's see if we can't figure this out..

Generally you did everything correctly. Step 1 is perfect. For step 2, you should install Shadowbox.js into src/main/web/players/shadowbox/lib, as described in the documentation. The "sys/ui" stuff is only valid for versions of TubePress < 3.0.0.

Step 3 is the part that concerns me a little. A white screen typically means that PHP hit a fatal error. But based on what I can see at http://www.tedhoffman.ca/for-fun/, it looks like you were able to activate TubePress Pro 3.0.0?

In summary, I think that if you fix the slight error with Step 2, TubePress should work perfectly. Let us know. Thanks!

Hi Eric,

Still not working. However the shadowbox does now come up but just doesn't play anything.

Steps taken:

1) installed Shadowbox into tubepress_pro_3_0_0/src/main/web/players/shadowbox/lib

2) deactivated and re-activated TubePress Pro 3

I am still getting the white screen with the following on the address bar:

But Wordpress does report the plugin as having been activated

Thanks

Hi Eric,

I trust you didn't forget me. It's been three days since my last post and Tubepress 3 is still not functioning. You haven't asked me for any additional information, so I presume that you have what you need. I'm hoping to be operational by the weekend.

Thanks

Hi,

I've tested your site in a few different browsers on both Windows and Mac, and as far as I can tell the videos are playing with Shadowbox normally. Is that not what you're seeing as well? Please let me know.

As for the white page on activation - without access to your server logs that will be difficult for me to diagnose. But if TubePress is otherwise working I'd say we could probably ignore it.

Thanks!
