removing the numbers from pagination

Is there a way to just have the prev and next buttons in the pagination?

I have seen topics that show how to remove the prev and next buttons, but I'd really like it the other way round.

TubePress's pagination is not (yet) generated via a template that's easy to modify with a TubePress theme. Until this is the case, you should be able to hack around in sys/classes/org/tubepress/impl/plugin/filters/gallerytemplate/Pagination.class.php to eliminate the page numbers.
