Hi... after reading through your docs I learned that version 3.1.8 no longer supports the new Youtube API as of April 20, 2015

So, I installed the new version 4.1.8 (free version first... I want to make sure it works before we go back to the Pro Version)

I added our API Key... yet, still get the following error... What else can I do?  Thanks

"YouTube responded with an error: Bad Request"

Hello,

Please post a link to your site and enable TubePress debugging at Settings > TubePress > Advanced > Enable Debugging.

It could be that it just needs a little while, as we have seen this issue clear itself up.

Thanks!

Google is saying that your API key is incorrect.

Please double check the key and make sure you entered it into TubePress properly.

Thanks!

Thanks for the response...

I copied the api key directly from my site at blogilates.com and entered it into my staging site...   Do I need to generate a new API key with the new version?

If you go to blogilates.com/abs you will see a video... Clicking on any of the thumbnails gives a youtube upgrading their service error...

Thanks again!

I would recommend creating a new API key and giving that a shot.

Thanks!

Hello again.. getting closer!!    I updated the API key as you suggested, and now the main video works.. But the other thumbnails underneath do not work... We only see three (because of the trial version) and when we upgrade, the others will show up... But they do not work when you click them.

Here is the link again  http://blogilates.st...engine.com/abs/

Thanks for your help!

BTW.. We decided to go with the Tubepress Pro Version, but the same exact problem exists....

If you go to page http://blogilates.st...engine.com/abs/ and click on any of the thumbnails, nothing happens.. No error, no video or nothing at all..

I checked the short code and it looks like this...

[tubepress mode="playlist" playlistValue="PLSCcAGyv98icX4pV3k5uIYtzjaVw12myt"]

I verified that the playlist is the correct value...

Please help!   I hope that upgrading to the pro version will get us faster support, because our site is not functioning.

Thanks!

I am having trouble adding my API key and my site only plays first video then I get the youtbe error msg saying I am using old unsupported version on rest of videos. I went to your http://community.tub...into-tubepress/link (which is good) but I am unable to find where to enter the API key in Wordpress. Can you do a screen shot of where this key goes?

Hi sanmarc

First, make sure you install / upgrade to tubepress version 4.1.8 or it wont work.

Then, Login to your wp admin and then look on the left navigation bar and click on SETTINGS then TUBEPRESS  then click on the FEED tab.

Scroll down and you will see GOOGLE API KEY

Just enter the key there...   But you may find that the thubmnails wont load videos.  Waiting for a response, but if I find the solution, I will post it here..

Thanks for helping mmusilli...

I do not see a spot for "Google API Key" in the Feed section - the only API entries are for Youtube developer key and Vimeo Development key - any ideas?

BTW.  Problem was resolved...Using tubepress pro version 4.1.8

I had to create a new API key and I had to remove this line from the theme header

<script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.10.2/jquery.min.js"></script>

Since we had more than one instance of jquery running per your docs..

I hope this helps someone else out there having an issue with tubepress version 3.1....

Just bought the Pro version and installed and activated it fine but in the Tubepress settings none of the tab pages load so I can't enter my new Google API key. I tried it earlier with the free version and it is the same now with the paid version.

Why do the tab pages not load? My clients website is videoless until I can fix this. Seems a lot of people are having this as well as other issues.

I had the free version working fine for several years until Google messed up the works.
