Hello,

Question 1:
With regard to the Search within TubePress Pro Version. As I understand it, the search function will search YouTube as a whole.
Is it possible, to offer a Search box to website visitors that limits the search to specific YouTube channels only?

Question 2:
When a hyperlink is present in a video Description, is this hyperlink still active within the Description that shows up on my website using TubePress?

Finally, well done on the hours of work you've obviously put into this. It's much appreciated.

Yes. You can just use the "searchResultsRestrictedToUser" shortcode attribute described here.

Currently no, though this should be relatively easy to accomplish with TubePress 2.2.5 as it offers a plugin infrastructure. If you upgrade to TubePress Pro I'll be happy to walk you through the steps on how to achieve this. In the next few days I'll be publishing documentation on how to write plugins for TubePress, so you other option is to wait until then to see if you're up for doing it yourself.

Finally, well done on the hours of work you've obviously put into this. It's much appreciated.

Thank you! ;)

Hi Eric,

Thank you for your reply. Just to confirm one thing regarding searches - may I list several different Users with the shortcode?

You have it limited to "3hough" can I add a second user?
[tubepress mode="tag" tagValue="cats" searchResultsRestrictedToUser="3hough"]

thank you!!

Unfortunately no, not at the moment. This is mostly due to a restriction on YouTube's end. See my last comment on this thread for details.

Hello Eric:

Well my colleague Pepper and I went ahead and upgraded to Pro just now and we would greatly appreciate your help in creating hyperlinks within the YouTube description. This will enable us to link the video to the appropriate Blog posting.

Finally, one additional question. Is it possible to have the description show up next to the main video showing only? I am using the default layout and don't want descriptions under every video necessarily - just the one the visitor is viewing.

Thank you! Jilly & Pepper
