if i buy the version 3 pro today will i get the upgrade for the 4 that seems outstanding

CAn i import a full youtube channel directly and ad tags to search and organize category

same for vimeo

If you purchase 3.x today, you get free upgrades for a full year, including between major versions, such as from 3.x to 4.0

TubePress uses a number of shortcode parameters to pull in your YouTube and/or Vimeo channel's.  As far as adding tags to search by, the TubePress gallery is created 'on-demand' so any tags you wish to add to your videos will need to be added on YouTube or Vimeo. 

You can create categories of your videos by either including specific videos in the shortcode by video ID, by search string and restricting to a specific user.
