Just switched from free version to pro and from using vimeo to youtube. In both free and pro versions of tubepress, the youtube thumbnails have black bars on top and bottom. Any idea why this is happening and how to fix?

Hello Alan,

We do offer this add-on: http://community.tub...k-bars-remover/

for Tubepress that will completely remove the black bars from the top and bottom of the YouTube thumbnails.

Let us know if we can help with anything else.

Thanks!

is there some sort of iframe code that we can embed to eliminate the black bars on our web site video gallery or is the $14 add-on the only way to get rid of it?

Hello trefn1,

The black bar add-on is the only supported way to remove the black bars around the thumbnails.

Thanks!

Does the Black Bar Remover the fix the issue with the playback of the video? This add-on seems more suited towards the thumbnails which I don't have an issue with.  If I use the object embed vs. the iframe (like using EmbedPlus) i get a screenshot that fills the entire height and width of the player above the thumbnails but with the iframe (YouTube Player) I get black bars on the sides of the video in the player. Please advise.

Hello,

This only removes the blackbars on the thumbnails when using HD Thumbnails.

Can you post a link to a page or pages that show the differences you are talking about in your post?

Thanks!
