Dear tubepress staff,

ive just purchased and upgraded to tubepress pro 3.0 but still i cant manage to have the videopage i created fully working. the thumbnails couldnt be clickable for a long time, but now somehow the whole page aint working anymore. And it seems I have an error/undefined url box floating on my whole wordpress now and I dont even know how it got there. Im really a noob with this wordpress thing to be honest when it comes to codes and programming, and Im really desperate now for help since I cant get my wordpress site operating fully 100%.

Thats why I write this post in the hope someone with more knowlegde can help me out to fix the bugs and the video's thumbnails in my site.

Kind regards,

AJ. www.gener80s.com

Hi AJ,

I think the main problem is that your site has multiple copies of jQuery being loaded. The problem seems to be stemming from your theme. In particular, it's loading jQuery from wp-content/themes/continuousplayeroriginal/js/jquery-1.5.2.min.js. The solution for this problem would be to edit your theme's header.php (probably located at wp-content/themes/continuousplayeroriginal and delete the line containing "jquery-1.5.2.min.js". Or simply ask for an update from the theme's author.

Does that make sense? Let us know. Thanks!

Hey there, thanks for the quick reply, a fortunately it didn't fix the two problems. I also contacted the theme creator in the hope for a response...dunno what else to do.

is there any other way?

Looks like you definitely cleaned up the extra jQuery load. Good!

The problem now is that there's an invisible <div> covering up the bulk of your page, and it's preventing anyone from clicking TubePress. Here's a screencast showing the invisible <div>, and you can see that once I delete the <div>, TubePress works. Once again your theme author should be able to provide some insight here.

Dear Eric,

the developer of my theme fixed the floating error luckely. But he couldnt help me out with the plugin of tubepress not working properly. It still seems that the thumbnails cant be clicked to play...And what you just pointed out with the <div> part, is that still there, and where can I delete it?

Hi AJ,

Yes, unfortunately the invisible <div> tag is still there, right at the top of your HTML, just below the <body> tag.  It starts with the following:

<div id="_rm_lightningjs-$rm" style="display: none;">

Once that section (from <div> tag to </div> tag) is removed from your code, you are able to click on the TubePress videos and they play properly.

I hope this helps!

Please let us know, thanks!

-Brandon

Dear Brandon,

I noticed indeed when I delete the <div> in google chrome on the way you describe the video's start to work. But it comes back after refreshing the page. Where within the wordpress theme can I find that <div> node to delete, I searched in the header.php, all the other php files too. I just cant find the <div> line itself or the HTML element in any of the theme files.

The <div> itself is probably being inserted by JavaScript, which would explain why you can't find it in the theme files. Does "rootmusic" or "bandpage.com" ring a bell? There are some references to both of those - maybe that will help track it down.

As Brandon mentioned, once that <div> is gone TubePress should work normally.
