No matter what I do, my theme won't update from default. I tried to use "sidebar" (in shortcode and in settings) and nothing changed; then I made my own custom theme and used it in shortcode and settings and nothing changed. I want to show a video with a sidebar on the right of thumbnails and was using a theme to do this. I am soooo frustrated this won't work!!

Sorry that you're having trouble getting your custom themes to work correctly. Could you share a link to a page that demonstrates the problem? I'd be interested in looking at your TubePress debug output. Thanks!

Sure. This latest page is what I see after I replaced the default theme with the sidebar theme in the actual directory structure - still shows the default code:

http://www.expertgen...r/...ash-varma/

Let me know if you want me to try anything else. The end result I want is for my thumbnails to display as a right sidebar.

Thank you!

Hi Shara,

In WordPress environments, TubePress themes should be placed in the directory at wp-content/tubepress-content/themes. So in your case the first thing to do would be to move your theme's directory from

wp-content/plugins/tubepress_pro_2_4_4/sys/ui/themes/institute_custom_theme
to

wp-content/tubepress-content/themes/institute_custom_theme
That will protect your changes from getting wiped out when you upgrade TubePress.

The next thing we should do is delete your existing TubePress installation by deleting the entire wp-content/plugins/tubepress_pro_2_4_4 directory. Finally reinstall a fresh copy of TubePress Pro, and activate the "sidebar" theme. That should work correctly and show your videos in a vertical column. If it doesn't then I'll be glad to take another look. One way or another, let's get your installation to this state before we proceed.
