Fatal Error On Videos Page

Best Answer eric , 20 April 2015 - 02:23 PM

Post, now that I have updated my tubepress installations, and fixed the sites that crashed, I am now getting this message: "YouTube responded with an error: Quota Exceeded"  I am not even getting the 3 videos promised in the FREE edition...   What am I missing???  Thanks, Larry

Please follow these instructions to get past the quota error. This is a one-time setup and should take you just a few minutes.

TubePress 4.1.3 was released today, and it looks like you are running 4.0.9. Between those two versions, there was a rather large overhaul of the particular area of code where you are experiencing this bug.

Could you upgrade and see how that works? I'll bet it will resolve this issue for you. Thanks

This seems to be a common issue with web servers running older versions of PHP. A quick solution would be to ask your hosting provider to upgrade your site to PHP 5.6, which as of this writing is the current version.

Thanks Eric! I asked their host to do this but apparently it could effect other websites, for the worse. Apparently cPanel won't be updating their version of PHP until May or June - is it possible that this will work with PHP 5.5?

Host provider just upgraded to php5.5, this fixed the error when trying to post videos - thanks!

Which version of PHP are you running now? Following these instructions you should be able to answer that question and see which other versions are available to you. Virtually without exception, you will want to run the most modern version of PHP. This "Internal Zend error - Missing class information" is a nasty, internal bug that hasn't been fixed because the PHP developers have dropped support for older versions of PHP.

With luck, simply changing your PHP version to any other version will get rid of the bug. Let us know.

Hi Eric,

Thanks so much - where can I get this? The download page/links show 4.1.3?

Thanks for the quick responses Eric - you guys rock! Unfortunately, the issue wasn't fixed by that (I used the auto updater, not sure if that makes a difference) http://www.nucanoe.com/videos/
