Hi there,

I've just upgraded to the pro version, and the latest version of the pro version (4.1.5).

Anyway, I get a White Screen of Death. After switching on Debug mode, I get the following error:-

Fatal error: Internal Zend error - Missing class information for in /home/html/wp-content/plugins/tubepress_pro_4_1_5/src/platform/scripts/boot.php on line 15

From a quick Google, I'm seeing a lot of people suggest we update our PHP version. It appears to be v5.3.29.

What version of PHP is needed for this plugin to work? We're on a Managed server and we need to know what is the minimum version which won't have problems, as to try and minimise issues & incomparability that may occur.

Thanks.

I am also experiencing the "white screen" after the update to 4.1.5.  I tried reloading a fresh version, but get a fatal error when I try to activate the plugin.

Fatal error: Class 'tubepress_platform_impl_log_BootLogger' not found in ......public_html/wp-content/plugins/tubepress/src/platform/classes/tubepress/platform/impl/boot/PrimaryBootstrapper.php on line 159

I tried rolling back to the 3.1.7 version, but still received a failure notification though worded a bit differently.

I was using the free version and wasn't aware of the move from WordPress.org depository.  I've been thinking about upgrading to Pro anyway, but can't justify it until I know it at least will run at all.  Any advice?

Hello,

While we recommend upgrading to the latest version of PHP, I believe you need at least 5.5

Thanks!

TubePress will run on PHP 5.2.9 or higher (see the detailed requirements here) however the "Internal Zend error" is a bug with older/unmaintained versions of PHP that are running APC. One option is to turn off APC completely and use another opcache like xcache. If that's not an option, the only real solution is to upgrade to the latest PHP. Newer PHP versions are not only significantly faster, but they are also actively maintained which makes them generally more secure and less prone to bugs.

Hopefully that answers your question? Please let us know how else we may assist.

Hi Lori,

Typically that error comes from a corrupt TubePress installation. Sounds like you've already tried a fresh copy (good!), which is the first thing we'd recommend in this situation. If I were in your shoes I would next check filesystem permissions to make sure that my webserver could read all of TubePress's files. How are you installing? Via your WordPress dashboard or with FTP?

I'll also note that we've never encountered a customer whose TubePress installation we couldn't get working! If on the off chance that ever happens, we will of course issue a full refund.
