On a Wordpress 4.0.1 page this line, for a valid altho' unlisted YouTube video

[tubepress video="eqF0kL--V5k"]

causes error message on page:

 Video eqF0kL–V5k not found

 

Video URL is  http:// -[prevent autoshow]-  youtu.be/eqF0kL--V5k

 

This line works fine, also an Unlisted video

[tubepress video="Y_z2TQSIhwA"]

 

What's going on? Do I have "escape" special characters or what. How?

 

Have checkmarked 'debug in Settings->Tubepress->Advanced, but don't see any output with [DEBUG] as I've seen in other posts. Or does debug trace appear somewhere else, like in a log (vs. on the page)?

 

Playlist works fine.

When I place this shortcode into my demo environment, I get a video with no problems displaying.

 

Are you using the text or visual editor?

 

Please make sure to use the text editor, as the visual editor quite frequently inserts random, unwanted characters.
