I have 6 videos on my youtube account currently and TubePress only displays 2 of them on http://robpannell.com/youtube/

I have enabled debugging in case you need to look.

 

I wondered if it may be due to location restrictions as I found that mentioned in another topic, but I cannot find any controls for that on my youtube account.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Rob,

 

Youtube is only returning two videos from that playlist

<openSearch:totalResults>2</openSearch:totalResults>

If these videos were newly uploaded or have a very low view count, sometimes the API takes a while to make the videos available.

All 6 videos were uploaded in January, so it shouldn't be a time thing. 

 

Does the YT API really restrict results with a low view count? That's really disappointing as surely the point of embedding is to increase views by showing it elsewhere to widen the audience.

Hi Rob,

 

It's not necessarily a restriction on low view count videos, we have just noticed that sometimes a video with a low view count can take quite awhile to show up in the API, while other times it'll show up in 24 - 48 hours.

 

Unfortunately, I do not see anything else that would be causing YouTube to only return the two videos.
